I'm New...What Can I Expect?

We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Harpeth Christian Church a great one! We have visitor parking located in front of Bldg A (on the left once you pull into the parking lot).

HOW LONG IS A SERVICE?

In total, our Sunday service gathering is about 70 minutes in length.

WHAT IS THE SERVICE LIKE?

Services begin with the Harpeth Worship Team leading the church in praise & worship – song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. A leader will guide us in communion (this is done weekly) to remember Jesus and His sacrifice. One of our teaching ministers, typically Bobby Harrington (Lead Pastor) or J.P. Robinson (Disciple Making Minister) will share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.

The Family Service at 9am looks a little different and is geared more toward the kids. Mike Rozenboom, our Family Discipleship Minister leads our kiddos in a short Bible lesson and the DiscipleSHIP Kids Worship Action Team leads everything in engaging worship. The kids will be dismissed to their classes and the worship service continues.

WHAT IS THE CULTURE LIKE AT HARPETH?

Sunday’s at Harpeth are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest. Jeans, t-shirt, dressy, boots – it doesn’t matter – you will see it all! Our praise & worship is contemporary with a full band most Sundays – but we do love some hymns too!

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

DiscipleSHIP Kids meet during the 9am service. We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week and at DiscipleSHIP Kids (babies thru 5th grade) we make this a priority. Everyone's safety is an important aspect on Sunday mornings, therefore we have strict guidelines we follow.  Contact Jay Austin, Family Discipleship Minster if you have questions or concern. We also have classes for our Jr. High students (6th-8th) during the 10:45am gathering service.  You can click here for more info!
