DiscipleSHIP Kids
Helping Kids Trust and Follow Jesus
Welcome to the DiscipleSHIP Kids (DK) Ministry
Our DiscipleSHIP Kids (DK) mission is to help kids trust and follow Jesus through meaningful discipleship. By partnering with parents and caregivers, our goals are to challenge kids to READ God’s Word, MEMORIZE God’s Word, LIVE God’s Word, and SHARE Jesus!
FAMILY SERVICE and DiscipleSHIP Kids – 9:00 am
Each Sunday morning, we have a fifteen-minute FAMILY SERVICE where parents, caregivers, and kids (Kindergarten through 5th grade) sing songs, learn scripture, and are introduced to the week’s DiscipleSHIP Kids (DK) lesson. After this time together, the children are dismissed for an extended, kid-friendly service and small group discipleship experience. We have found that this combination of family time and age-appropriate discipleship effectively supports families in their ongoing family discipleship. We have classes for birth through Pre-K with curriculum during the entire service.
- FIRST: Please stop by the DK area and check in your kids (nursery-5th grade).
- SECOND: Create a check-in tag for you and your child.
- THIRD: Birth through Pre-K – Take your child to their designated class. Kindergarten through 5th Grade – Go to the Auditorium for the Family Service.
- FOURTH: When dismissed, send your child to the appropriate door where their teacher and hall security will meet them. Door assignments will appear on the screens in the Auditorium.
- FIFTH: After the adult service is over, return to DK to pick up your child! Remember to show your check-in tag when entering the secured DK area to pick up your child from their classroom!
Each week we post a discussion to continue the conversation with your child, remind them of the memory verse, and give a sneak peek of what is coming up the following Sunday.
OVERBOARD – 10:45 am
During our 10:45 am Regular Service, Overboard is available for all children birth through 5th grade. Overboard is not in lieu of our 9:00 a.m. Family Service. However, it is a great opportunity for families who are either serving first hour or attending second service. All children staying for Overboard will need to be checked in before second service in the DK Area. Remember to show your check-in tag when entering the secured DK area to pick up your child from their classroom.
