Leadership

Harpeth Leadership

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church and that every local church has the obligation to seek and appoint godly male pastors/elders, who lead the local church, relying on God’s wisdom and daily guidance.

At every level, we make decisions by seeking guidance and wisdom from Jesus, who ultimately directs our vision “to help people trust and follow him.” Jesus is our Supreme Authority. Under his leadership, we serve his church together.

Staff

Our staff runs the day-to-day ministry and operations of the church.

What brought you to Harpeth? My wife, Summer, and I fell in love with Harpeth because of the relationships we had built so quickly. I obviously wanted to find a church where I could lead worship, but we were looking for a specific kind of church. We needed a place that was looking for people like us to serve. We needed a church where it was easy to get connected. We also wanted a place where we could grow and raise our family. Harpeth fit all of those needs for us and then some!

A few of my favorite things are…. I love when the music drops out during a worship service and you can hear all God’s people lifting their voices to Him. That’s a powerful thing. Our small groups are amazing. They’ve been a great place for us to get real about what we think about certain things and ask hard questions. I also love the children’s ministry for my son; he has a blast every Sunday. My most favorite thing would probably be our events. Whether it’s a movie night or a holiday celebration, I love that Harpeth comes together to spend time as a family for the purpose of bringing more guests into our community.

If I’m not working I like to… Write and produce music, go on walks with my family, and play either tennis or disc golf.

One of my biggest pet peeves is… I hate it…. when someone grabs food from my plate without asking… hahaha.

Favorite worship song? God With Us by All Sons and Daughters. LOVE that song.
